Arizona Science Center

Working with Lexington Design and Fabrication, MediaMation provided A/V systems for eight static and interactive exhibits as well as two presentation theaters. While working in one of the presentation theaters, MMI is one of the first systems integration company utilizing Apple’s iPAD for control of A/V switching, volume and lighting, tailored to the occasion via MediaMation’s custom-controlled ShowFlow® software with its user-friendly intuitive interface. The iPad is the perfect user interface to provide a flexible, portable, and intuitive touch-control surface for the presenters in the main theater.

Chabot Space and Science Center

- Oakland, CA

The Chabot Space & Science Center is a prestigious Smithsonian affiliate that covers expansive subject matter, namely “The Earth and Universe. MMI provided A/V for multiple interactive exhibits as part of media personality “Billy Nye’s Climate Lab,” a project that educates and entertains regarding the challenges of Climate Change.

Michigan Science Center

– Detroit, MI

The largest 4D motion EFX theater in the world.  This theater is comprised of 167 seats of 3 DOF motion in which MMI provided control, integration, audio/video and of course the MX4D™ motion seats.

Tuskegee Airmen Museum

– Tuskegee, AL

Under the auspices of Exhibit Fabrication Company, 1220 Exhibits, MediaMation supplied all audio, video, control and programming for a hi-tech interactive museum “artistically wrapped” into an actual airplane hangar used by the famed WW II Era African American air squadron, The Tuskegee Airmen. The exhibit remains true to circa 1940’s décor and features an actual cockpit (i.e. link trainer) used by the airmen, as well as oral history stations and period-style phones.

World of Coca-Cola Museum

– Atlanta, GA

MediaMation was commissioned by Nassal Company of Orlando to perform programming and show control for several interactive exhibits at the new multi-million dollar “World of Coca Cola Pavilion” in Atlanta, Georgia. The newly expanded attraction, which celebrates the history of one of the world’s most popular beverages, features a 4D Theater, the globe’s largest collection of Coke memorabilia, a pop culture gallery featuring works by Andy Warhol and Steve Penley and a fully functioning bottling line that produces 8-oz. commemorative bottles of Coca Cola. MMI utilized their MOE controllers, and Audio Players for several of the exhibits in the high-profile project.

Western HeritageWestern Heritage Museum

Working with Design Craftsmen of Michigan, MediaMation was the key technology designer and integrator behind a state-of-the-art 270 degree surround video theater housed in the newly opened Western Heritage Museum. The theater features a sophisticated six-projector Watchout™ Edgeblend system synchronized via MediaMation’s ShowFlow™ software. In addition, MMI supplied a full audio system, as well as lighting, show control, operator interfaces, scheduling and all onsite integration.

Western HeritageCenter for Water Education

The Center for Water Education allows visitors to follow the life cycle of water from clouds to faucet. MediaMation supplied all A/V gear, lighting and show control and video servers as well as interactive elements and equipment installation. The elaborate exhibit spotlights several special effects created by MediaMation, including rear projection of images onto a giant fish tank; a challenging “Pepper’s Ghost” FX that makes it appear an object is floating in the air; an ongoing sound and lightning “Thunder Storm” FX; a magic “Wishing Well” with a plasma screen bottom, a water turbine and other custom effects.
