Centennial Olympic Park Fountain
Under the auspices of Georgia Fountains, MediaMation (MMI) contributed a sophisticated array of technologies – show control, audio systems, programming and color fountain choreography – as part of a complete renovation of the Centennial Olympic Park Ring of Fountains, located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Featuring more than 1,250 jets and lights, with center jets reaching 60 ft. into the air, the project utilizes MMI’s ShowFlow™ software with flexible groupings and algorithms. Via Computer Dialogue Animation (CDA), the fountain jets and lights “dance” i.e., “respond” to live music input in real time, as well as play back to pre-programmed shows. The result: a truly unique & dazzling viewing experience that comes with a high degree of versatility and multiple programming options.
Recently, MMI provided new choreography and music to these fountains by using its new Virtual Fountain™ software, which allowed MMI to layout, visualize and do real-time programming in 3D from a computer monitor. Because MMI was able to program prior to going on site, it saved time, travel costs and onsite manpower to allow more creativity to choreograph an awesome fountain show.
