X4D® Motion EFX Cinema Seat Series

Based on the success of the X4D® Motion EFX Attractions seats used in theme parks, museums, science centers and attractions worldwide, MediaMation has launched the Cinema Seat series especially designed for the cinema marketplace. The X4D® Cinema Seat is designed with 2 DOF (degrees of freedom) vs the 3 DOF found in the attraction seats, as less movement and effects are needed overall for a feature length motion picture. MediaMation has pioneered a patent-pending design using less costly and maintenance-free pneumatic or air-driven mechanics rather than expensive electrical actuators. The result is affordable motion seats and 4D theater solutions for exhibitors who are looking for new and alternative methods to drive traffic into their theaters.

• Standard effects include a seat transducer (a MediaMation exclusive design element created by powerful subwoofers under the chair cushion that can be modulated for intensity) and front air/wind that provides an atmospheric effect surrounding the seat.
  
• Additional seat effects can be added to include: leg and neck ticklers, back pokers and water blasts.
  
• Additional atmospheric effects can be added to include: fog, mist, rain, snow, bubbles, strobing and even scents.
  
• Powered by a unique distributed power unit with one drive seat that drives three drone seats. This allows for the mechanics to be in only a quarter of the seats installed reducing overall equipment costs, easier installation and maintenance.
  
• Our motion code is driven from a VidShow™ server/controller that sits beside and synchs up to the digital cinema projector. It works with all digital cinema server systems, including 2D and 3D film content.

X4D® Motion EFX Attraction Seats

Our 4D Effects Seats are the first of its kind to provide a functional hybrid between static or simple movement chairs and full motion simulators.

Building on over 20 years of leading edge technology and design, we utilize a unique, quiet, air-driven, pneumatic system for cost effective, energy efficient and low maintenance turnkey installations, compared to the high maintenance and power requirements of hydraulics or electric bases.  Our 4D Effects Seats and theaters are easy to operate with a simple one-button operation to run the show.  Maintenance is easy with our efficient, web-cam remote and login support for quick changes and upgrades.

Our X4D® Motion EFX Seats provide real 1, 2 or 3 degrees of freedom (DOF) motion base action, coupled with the latest 4D special effects and 5D movement.

1. Standard effects include:
   front air blasts, front water spray, neck blasts, leg tickler and seat transducers/rumblers. 
2. Optional in-seat effects include: 
   under seat “poppers,” back pokers, scent.
3. Atmospheric/ theater effects include:
   wind, rain, snow, bubbles, fog, strobing, and special effect lighting.
